CSG Executive Team

The Correctional Solutions Group Executive Team are seasoned correctional professionals who have worked together for decades at all levels of correctional facility operations from the line staff position through facility and corporate management. They have a multi-level understanding of the requirements of the contracting agency, the factors of client rehabilitation, the need for safe, secure and humane services for program participants, and the importance of staff job satisfaction and support. We operate as a team and view each employee as a valued member of that team.

John Forren MHA/ President    
Email

Mr. Forren has managed some 30 correctional facilities over his career as Chief of Operations for Cornell Companies, CEO of Correctional Systems, Inc., as CEO of Paladin Eastside Psychological Services, and as COO for Eclectic Communications, Inc. Mr. Forren also currently sits on the Board of Directors of an Alano Club in El Cajon, California and served as president of the board of an alcohol and drug recovery home in Santa Barbara, California. The many projects he has been responsible for include re-entry facilities for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, community treatment centers for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, detention facilities for the US Marshals Service, ICE, California DOC, Federal Bureau of Indian Affairs, and a dozen city and county jails.

Dr. Rickler has designed innovative programs for correctional and chemical dependency treatment and intervention, including authoring the proposal for the first privately operated state prison in California and the first federal dual diagnosis community correctional facility. He also authored and implemented massive community drug intervention programs and designed the first drug court program for Santa Barbara, California. He has a doctorate in Educational Psychology, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, and is a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

David L. Stanfield
COO / Chief Operating Officer 

David Stanfield began his career in criminal justice and security electronic integration in 1989. David's work experience has included operational management and financial oversight of both male/female prison settings, halfway houses, community corrections, and juvenile detention facilities for county, state, and federal government agencies. David's range of experience includes management of all aspects of facility operations ie. security, offender supervision, safety, offender grievance resolution, prison transportation, commissary, maintenance, medical, and food service operations. Within these management roles, David's additional responsibilities include fiscal management of facilities, contract compliance, and regulatory authority compliance. In addition to David's operations management experience, he was a business owner for several years of a Texas based security integration company which specialized in the installation of commercial/institutional security systems for jails, prisons, and hospitals throughout the state of Texas, and possessed Security Manager and Fire System Licenses issued by the state of Texas. Additional responsibilities included security analysis and consulting with various corporate entities.

Donna Farris / MBA
Corporate Financial Analyst 

Ms. Farris began her career in criminal justice as an Adult Probation Officer followed by a position as Chief Probation Officer for a four-county, Texas Judicial District. Ms. Farris subsequently held a position with the State of Texas (TDCJ-CJAD) as the Director of Funding and Fiscal Management responsible for the distribution and oversight of the annual funding for Adult Probation Departments, $300 million. Ms. Farris also served as the Chief Fiscal Officer for Bexar County (San Antonio, Texas) Adult Probation Department and Director of Operations for the Travis County Adult Probation Department (Austin, Texas). Ms. Farris has a Masters of Education in Vocational Rehabilitation from the University of Texas at Austin and an Master in Business Administration from Texas State University.

Michelle D. Crane 
Corporate / HR Service Coordinator 

Michelle Crane serves as the Corporate HR Representative for Correctional Solutions Group, which includes planning, developing, and directing the administration of all HR functions, overseeing compensation, benefits, and HR Compliance. She has over 14 years of experience in all areas of Human Resource. Prior to joining CSG, Michelle worked for retail and a start-up company, where she coordinated staff meetings, addressed employee issues, trained and guided team members on HR processes.

Michael Curley 
Regional Director / Jail Operator

Mr. Curley began his career in criminal justice in 1984 as a Resident Advisor at New Paths Residential Probation Program in Michigan. In 1985 he was hired by MDOC as a Corrections Officer. His 33 years of service with the MDOC allowed him to work in 16 different correctional facilities and holding positions such as Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Deputy Warden, Deputy Warden, Warden, Regional Prison Administrator, and Assistant Deputy Director of Field Operations Administration (Parole/Probation). He retired from MDOC in 2017 and three months later accepted the Warden position at CCJ. Mr. Curley has a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He was awarded the Professional Excellence Award from MDOC in 2004, nominated for the 2011 North American Association of Wardens and Superintendents (NAAWS) Warden of the year, and awarded a Certified Corrections Executive status in 2019 by the Commission on Correctional Certification and American Correctional Association. for attaining the highest level of professionalism in corrections.

Fran Higgins
Corporate Food Service Director 

Fran Higgins serves as the Corporate Food Service Director for Correctional Solutions Group, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our facility’s foodservice operations, including fiscal management, contractual compliance, menu planning, food safety and sanitation, and compliance with all required state and federal guidelines. Fran began his career in correctional foodservice management with Aramark in 2006. He has served as Food Service Director at the Allegheny County Jail in Pittsburgh, PA, and Columbiana County Jail in Lisbon, OH., as well as overseeing the foodservice operations of two halfway houses in the Pittsburgh area. Prior to his career in correctional foodservice, Fran gained over 20 years of experience in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry as a restaurant owner and General Manager. He attended Slippery Rock Universty.
